How many of us have a plan for personal growth? We each have the proverbial elephant in the room, something that is staring us in the face that is waiting to be improved upon. I have a list of items I work on daily and as I have mentioned before, the secret sauce is consistent discipline in routine.
I believe we need to schedule time in our day to read. I often turn to self help books. That is my flavor of choice. I desire to flood my mind with positive thoughts regularly. As I drive in my car, I am listening to audio books, or motivational speakers. I never want a wasted moment to master my mind. The younger I get the more I realize that the final frontier is truly what is located between our ears... our minds. Overcoming the mind, and getting it to work for us, rather than against us is a life long pursuit. I have worked at it long enough, that when I wake up in the morning, the first thing running through my thoughts are my self programmed affirmations. Usually it the " all of life comes to me, with ease and joy and glory" affirmation. I love that it has become automatic. I am always looking for a new "hidden treasure of knowledge". They are in abundance and the more I find, the more seem to come into my field of influence. I never tire of new points of view. It's refreshing to come across another's point of view and to ponder their reasons for thinking that way. I am always looking for new and better ways at communicating and idea or thought to others. You are the best gift you have ever been given. Decide to invest in yourself daily. Take the time to read a motivating book, to listen to a speaker or motivational message. Find time to put yourself on the to-do list, and watch your life unfold and expand like never before! Blessing to you Beautiful Beings!~ Amy
